Abstract
Soil heavy metal pollution stands as one of the significant challenges facing the global environment today, posing serious threats to human health and ecosystems. In addressing this issue, microalgal biofilms have emerged as a promising bioremediation tool due to their efficient adsorption capabilities. This article provides a comprehensive review of the current status, application cases, and future developments of microalgal biofilms in soil heavy metal adsorption research, aiming to offer insights and guidance for research and practices in the field of environmental remediation.
