Abstract

Due to the increase in industrial heat supply of a thermal power plant in Anhui Province, the capacity of its boiler make-up water system became insufficient. This paper analyzes two capacity expansion schemes. Scheme 1, employing ultrafiltration (UF), reverse osmosis (RO), and ion exchange (IX) system technology, involves a static investment of 21.43 million RMB. Scheme 2, directly adopting ion exchange system technology, has a static investment of 8.68 million RMB. However, Scheme 2 generates a large volume of high-salinity wastewater that cannot be reused within the plant. Therefore, Scheme 1 is considered more feasible.
