Theoretical and Technical Learning in Table Tennis Among Physical Education Major Students

Abstract

In the current wave of diversified sports development, table tennis, as a globally popular sport, not only shows unique charm in the competitive field but also plays an important role in vocational education. This paper explores the combination of theoretical learning and technical learning of table tennis students, emphasizing that the two complement each other and jointly improve the comprehensive competitiveness of athletes. Through the evaluation of students' learning motivation, learning methods, learning environment, and other aspects, the study found that students are somewhat dissatisfied with theoretical learning, and at the same time, they are in urgent need of innovative training methods in technical learning. The study shows that in educational practice, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the characteristics of theoretical learning and technical learning, and seek a balance and integration between the two, to promote the all-round development of students, thereby cultivating more high-level table tennis talents and providing support for the long-term development of table tennis.
