Abstract

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair also said that Britain is a multi-ethnic, multi-racial, multi-cultural, multi-religious and multi-faith country, and that Britain's history and national conditions dictate that we must cherish the core values of Britain, such as freedom, tolerance, openness, fairness, equity, solidarity, the combination of rights and obligations, and the importance of the family and the social group. Value education is an educational concept and educational thinking that emerged in the 1980s and a far-reaching form of educational practice. The western value education trend has been explored for more than 30 years and accumulated fruitful theoretical results and practical experience, while the British value education has achieved good educational results since the promulgation and implementation of the Education Reform Act in 1988, and its practical exploration and theoretical research has been at the forefront of the world, which is more representative and valuable for research. College students, as the main force of the future development of society, have a long way to go in values education. This paper will start from the problems of college students' values education, and analyse how the UK develops values education from the three levels of the state, society and family.
