Legal Translation Facilitating High-Quality Overseas Expansion of Zhejiang Enterprises in the Middle East: A Case Study of the UAE
The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has garnered a positive reception and strong support from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) since its inception. Leveraging its unique position in the Middle East and its strategic "Look East" policy realignment, theUAE has achieved comprehensive alignment between its national development strategyand China's BRI. China and the UAE exhibit strong economic complementarity, and their pragmatic cooperation has yielded substantial outcomes. The two nations are collaboratively composing a new chapter of mutual prosperity. The UAE has consistently served as China's largest export market and second-largest trading partner in the Middle East for multiple consecutive years. Enterprises and citizens originating from Zhejiang Province constitute a substantial proportion of this economic engagement. While Zhejiang-based enterprises possess considerable growthpotential within the UAE and broader Middle Eastern markets, they concurrently encounter significant commercial challenges and disputes, creating a pressing demand forprofessional legal support. This paper will specifically focus on the critical role of legal translation in the overseas expansion process of Zhejiang enterprises. It will conduct an in-depth analysisof the difficulties and issues pertaining to legal translation and legal services encountered during internationalization. The aim is to propose effective strategies for optimizing the legal translation framework concerning the UAE, thereby facilitating high-quality overseas expansion for enterprises and providing precise and well-founded recommendations for their international endeavors.
