Abstract
Neapolitan Novels marks the masterpieces of Elena Ferrante, an anonymous Italian writer. The novel traces the sixty-year friendship between Lila and Lenù. The keen bond takes the form of affidamento. And by rivalry and support, they confirm each other’s existence and acquire self-achievements. The mother–daughter relationships of Lila and Elena reflect Luce Irigaray’s theory of female genealogy, while their life trajectories and resistance to patriarchal power continue the tradition of women’s writing. The process of their life and the resistance against the patriarchy stand for the passing- down of female writing.
Keywords:
